Belted Galloway beef cattle are an excellent fit for grass based, organic production of healthy and safe beef. Belted Galloways are designed to gain on grass and naturally produce lean, flavorful beef that is very low in fat and cholesterol.

Our beef is naturally raised on a grass based diet. To manage the herd in a sustainable manner, hay is purchased from fields within Townsend that are managed organically, or if purchased from out of state using certified organic sources. The cattle are fed a small amount (<10%) of supplemental grain. The grain is certified organic from Kramer Feeds in PA, and is almost entirely barley (no corn).

Our beef is humanely raised without use of confinement and animals graze freely to the extent that the New England weather will allow. When mature, beef cattle are harvested and processsed in a USDA inspected plant.
